Ahh! Christmas time...the holidays just bring out more of an emphasis on the fact that you are not a parent yet. I have read how hard it is during the holidays when you are waiting and for the both of us, it was very hard but we did enjoy the holiday! On the adoption front, we worked on asking for some grants to help offset the very expensive cost of adoption and that meant plenty more paperwork for us. Overall we had an amazing holiday and on New Years, when we traditionally release balloons to heaven, Phil and I wrote a small letter to God that we are ready for our child this year, if He sees its time. It was in french too...so hopefully we will get our lifelong wish granted. Lastly, I read this article which I loved because Phil and I do this all of the time, we take each of our moments along the adoption road and say "This is our ___ moment" etc. In line with that, we both went to have a physical and made sure to start eating better so we can be physically ready as well. Christmas Gifts! My mother purchased some of the sweetest gifts for us that had to do with the baby and our adoption!! The above diaper bag was bought for Phil and I was given an adoption frame and ornament and a mothers journal! So exciting!! I will keep saying this maybe next year we will be parents at Christmastime!

I know they say that woman who are pregnant have pregnancy dreams that tend to be a bit wild or odd to say the least...well, I am having them. I just needed to note that! Hopefully I am not alone in this but I question if those dreams are coming from hormones or just the overwhelming fact that we are about to be parents!!
