The call is something I have planned over and over again - I wonder who will be the one to pick up the phone, what will our social worker say? How long will we have to get to the hospital or perhaps how long ago was our child born. These questions on top of all the worry and doubt that come along with the adoption, are overwhelming me today. I have searched and searched and searched for adoption support groups to no avail, especially not in my area which leaves me to wonder - "Hellooooooooooo...
Then in that one moment of feeling bad for myself, I picture the birth parents who are battling with their own emotions of the next several months and how hard this may be for them. It gives me a jolt of courage to keep my chin up. Never the less, everyone involved in an adoption plan needs support and while there is a lack of specific groups in my area, I have found some online places if you are in need.
